The San Antonio Home Care Story

At San Antonio Home Care, we know what it means to care for family because that’s how our story began.

We’re William and Matthew, the founders of San Antonio Home Care. This agency grew out of our experience caring for William’s grandmother, Chrissy Anthony, during the final years of her life. What started as a personal commitment to help her age with dignity at home became the foundation for the care we now provide to other families.

Our family’s connection to San Antonio business goes back to 1912, when William’s great-grandfather, Tom Anthony, arrived from Greece and opened the Manhattan Café downtown. Decades later, Chrissy carried on that same tradition of hard work and hospitality through her role at Sea Island Shrimp House, a family-owned restaurant that has served San Antonio families since 1965.

Growing up around the restaurant, William learned from Chrissy what it means to work hard and care deeply. She treated employees with respect, made customers feel like family, and believed in doing things the right way every time. Those lessons shaped how we approach both business and care today.

At San Antonio Home Care, we believe care should feel personal and consistent. We have seen how the right support helps people stay comfortable and independent, surrounded by the life they have built. Our goal is to bring that same steadiness and respect into every home we serve.

We provide non-medical in-home care focused on compassion, reliability, and integrity. Whether it is companionship, meal preparation, errands, or personal care, our caregivers offer the same thoughtful support we were grateful to have for our own family.
